ASSEMBLE A DISASTER
SUPPLIES KIT
There are
six basics you should stock for yourself and your family: water, food,
first aid supplies, clothing and bedding, tools and special items. Keep
the items that you would most likely need during an emergency or evacuation
in an easy-to-carry covered trash container, backpack or duffle bag.

| Special
Items |
| Remember family
members with special requirements, such as infants and elderly or
disabled persons. It is also a good idea to include games and books
for entertainment. And do not forget copies of important documents
and phone numbers. |
Once a year,
re-think your kit and changing families needs. Replace batteries and food,
re-stock properly fitting clothes, etc.
