| What is cause-marketing? |
Cause-marketing
is a partnership between for-profit and non-profit organizations.
Cause-marketing efforts typically involve the promotion of a non-profit
program or service that meets a company's marketing objectives,
the non-profit agencies' marketing objectives and targets a single
or multiple consumer demographic that the corporate sponsor hopes
to reach. Unlike philanthropy, money spent on cause-marketing is
a business expense, not a donation, and is expected to show a return
on investment.

| How
does the Red Cross benefit? |
Cause-marketing
campaigns enable the American Red Cross of the Susquehanna Valley
to significantly increase its public profile by informing residents
about helpful programs and services. Without cause-marketing partnerships,
these same individuals might not otherwise learn what is offered
without the chapter having to incur significant expenses associated
with media advertising. |
| How
do I learn more about cause-marketing with the local Red Cross? |
Please
call our office, there is someone who would be happy to speak with
you. The local Red Cross offers a broad range of services and programs
that can be associated with companies and promoted to the community
through a cause-marketing partnership. You will be pleased to learn
in further detail about the benefit of partnering with a respected
national organization.
