One of Central PA’s most popular golf events, the 21st Annual American Red Cross Golf Outing, scheudled for May 21st at Cool Creek Golf Course, Wrightsville, has raised over $350,000 for the programs and services of the American Red Cross, especially disaster relief services, according to Blasdell.
 “This year’s event will be the best yet!! We expect more than 200 golfers and 60 business participants.” said Blasdell, who has chaired the event for all twenty-one years. All proceeds benefit the American Red Cross of the Susquehanna Valley.
Shotgun starts for the four-person scramble format are at 7:45 a.m. (lunch included) and 1:00 p.m. (dinner included). Golfers participated in long drive, close-to-pin, hole-in-one and putting contests, and prizes will be awarded. All proceeds benefit the American Red Cross of the Susquehanna Valley.
Last year's winners of the 20th Annual American Red Cross Golf Outing were the team from Penn National Insurance, Bill Buffington, Andy Buffington, Mike Scheid, and Joe Willard who took first place. Taking second place was the foursome sponsored by 101.3 The Rose, a sponsor of the tournament, took second place overall. Competing for The Rose were Chris Hughes, Billy Baldwin, James Dunn & Wayne Gearhart.
Last year's Golf Outing was supported by the following sponsors: Manheim Auto Auction, White Oak Printing, Fulton Bank, and Emerald Asset Management.
