MEET THE A-TEAM

A crowd-pleaser for elementary school-age children, "Meet the A-Team" uses puppetry and humor to encourage awareness of HIV and AIDS.

The A-Team is a one-man musical show created by renowned local puppeteer Robert Brock of the Hole in the Wall Puppet Theatre of Lancaster as a vehicle for the HIV/AIDS Education program of the American Red Cross of the Susquehanna Valley.

Reaching thousands each year, the A-Team is a traveling production designed to raise awareness and understanding of HIV & AIDS among area elementary school students through an entertaining combination of music and audience participation.

The production stars Dr. Latex Stein (so named because of the latex gloves he wears while handling blood); his son, Frankie Stein; a nurse, Mrs. Fishlipz; and "Lid," a talking toilet seat. In addition to operating the puppets, Mr. Brock also narrates the performance.

For more information or to inquire about scheduling a performance of the A-Team at your school (at no cost to you, thanks to our sponsors!), please contact the American Red Cross by phone or e-mail.
