The American Red Cross has many materials available for teachers, educators and presenters to use to help children and families learn how to stay safe and prevent or reduce the effects of disasters or other emergencies. Some materials come with teacher's guides and lesson plans. The Red Cross also offers innovative and life-saving health and safety courses and information.

We realize the suggested materials cost money, and schools may not be able to afford to buy all of the items immediately. Adjust the list, prioritizing for limited budget and storage space, if necessary. Develop a plan to phase in the supplies. Contact local service clubs and vendors for assistance.
