Lifeline Customer Service Assistant

Lifeline is a personal emergency response and support system designed to allow physically disabled or older individuals to remain in their own home in a safer environment. Individuals wishing to volunteer must have good people skills and be comfortable visiting others’ homes. Installers also must utilize their own transportation.

Responsibilities: 1) Assist with customer service to subscribers and referral sources by answering and returning phone calls as needed. 2) Assist in completing forms and appropriately faxing the information to Lifeline Central and/or satellites. 3) Perform typing related to correspondence, memoranda and reports. 4) Maintain correspondence and computer files as directed. 5) Maintain an appointment schedule as needed.

Lifeline Home Service Representative

Responsibility: Install Lifeline units in subscriber’s home.

Facilities Assistant Volunteer

Responsibility: Assist the facilities’ managers with maintenance and up-keep of chapter offices, including transporting vehicles for maintenance.

Hours Required: Varies
Minimum Age: Varies with needs


Data Entry/Filing/Shredding Volunteer - Lancaster Office

Responsibility: Help with data entry, filing and assistance with shredding.
Volunteer Schedule: Flexible
Hours Required: 1 to 2 hours/
Minimum Age: 18


Data Entry/Filing/Shredding Volunteer - Harrisburg Office

Responsibility: Help with data entry, filing and assistance with shredding.
Volunteer Schedule: Flexible
Hours Required: 1 to 2 hours/week
Minimum Age: 18


Head Information Services Consultant

Responsibility: Help the information services specialist with questions via e-mail or telephone. Get acquainted with other volunteer consultants and help them with questions they are unable to answer.
Volunteer Schedule: Flexible
Hours Required: Varies
Minimum Age: 18


Horticulture Volunteer - Harrisburg Office

Responsibility: If you enjoy working with plants, we are in need of a volunteer who is able to give some TLC to our large plants located in our building.
Volunteer Schedule: Flexible

Minimum Age: 18


Information Services Consultant

Responsibility: Answer staff’s computer questions and/or problems by phone or e-mail.
Volunteer Schedule: Flexible
Hours Required: Varies
Minimum Age: 18


Office Assistant Volunteer - Harrisburg Office

Responsibility: Cover front receptionist desk over lunch hour and assist with other receptionist duties as assigned.
Volunteer Schedule: 2 days a week
Hours Required: 2 Hours/day
Minimum Age: 18

Training and Other Requirements: Some training involved and experience in social work a plus.
